Project or Project
- That is The Question

Do you have a project that helps Boswell? Helps a Boswell Resident? An effort that gives something back to our Boswell Community? Our team strives to keep driving projects and looking for more.

Big or small - it’s effort in the project that starts the change of momentum.

Adaptive Re-use

Boswell Elementary School closed in May of 2021. A former student purchased the building knowing it was an anchor point of the community. With 45,000 square feet under roof and in amazing condition for the age of the facility, the building was donated to the J.O.B.S. Renewable Fund to manage.

To the left are some renditions of ideas in transforming the “old school” into a hub of activity. A cafe. Walking paths. Gardens. Office areas. Shared maker space. Activity area. Indoor exercise loop.

Thank you to Nowhere Collaborative, CIRD (The Citizen’s Institute for Rural Design), To Be Done Studio, and more.

Much remains on carrying out all phases of this project. However with the support of a few, we have already taken steps down the path of realization.

The hawk’s nest cafe

Within the former Boswell Elementary school a transition is taking place. Currently (October ‘24) site, concept and architectural planning are underway for a co-working studio cafe called the Hawk’s Nest.

Patrons will be able to utilize plenty of space, a meeting room, large presentation monitors, printers, complimentary wireless via fiber internet a light snack - and of course coffee.

Over 1,500sqft the Hawk’s Nest becomes a hub for area residents to conduct meetings, budding entrepreneurs to use resources, traveling sales reps to stop in.

“It all begins with an idea. Maybe you want to launch a business. Maybe you want to turn a hobby into something more. Or maybe you have a creative project to share with the world. Whatever it is, the way you tell your story online can make all the difference.”
